Gta IV not working

hi guyz,
in my PC GTA IV not working well,the game works only 1 or 2 minutes...,it showing an error "Out of memory"...
my PC specifications
intel dual core ,2.50ghz,ddr2
nvidia geforce 9500gt 1 gb
3gb ram
directx9
1366x768 ,18.5 monitor

guys plz help me ...!!if i upgrade my processor 2 core i3 ,3.6ghz...it wil work????
any ideas guys..!!!plz rply

GTA IV runs horrendously on way better systems than yours; it's a resource hog because it is a very poorly coded console port. If you take a few minutes and search this subforum, you will see that a lot of people cannot run this game at acceptable frame rates. First, your GPU is weak for GTA IV; and second, no, the i3 will not help too much for running GTA IV.

And you forgot to tell us what is your operating system?

At least a quad core; but even on quad cores game is still bad.

A fast quad core, not a slow one. Because you will most likely play other games as well, and some of them will only use two cores instead of four. So if you will have a slow quad core for a dual core optimized game, the slow quad will underperform compared to a faster dual core.

The final answer, get a fast quad core to be on the safe side, especially for GTA IV.
