I've seen three Nforce motherboards in production at the moment and due out by early December.

<A HREF="http://event.asus.com.tw/EXPO2001/product/mb_a7n266.htm" target="_new">ASUS A7N266</A>
<A HREF="http://event.asus.com.tw/EXPO2001/product/mb_a7n266-e.htm" target="_new">ASUS A7N266-E</A>

I think the only difference between the Asus boards, is one is specked to have a lot of the extra features such as the LAN.

Does anyone know if either of these is better than the other? I am not familiar with the MSI products in general, and am iffy on going with them dispite the price difference. They also seem to have all the features I want for cheeper (Lan, Sound, and video).

I want the board to set up my server. Currently, it only has a P2 300, an old TNT card, and 10-base-T netcard. I figure the board will be a great upgrade for everything for cheep.

No one really can give you any info.. We need benchmarks and stability tests... If not those, we atleast need the product to form our own opinions, which hasn't been released yet.....

So we will just have to wait and see.

Actualy, what I need is a new Soundcard, Net Card, and Vidcard. I figure that the Nforce gives me a cheep way to upgrade for all of those.

Also, I'm building this for a home server setup, so the extra Memory bandwith should help out a lot.

I'd wait for Abit... and comparison. People here don't seem to be very hot about nForce. Does that mean that KT266a satisfies 100%? On AudioForums two guys have similar problem with soundcards, though trying to find out if it's a audio drivers problem or VIA's one.

Which one do you have? Can you give us some numbers from your benchmarks?
