Shift and Shift 2 crashing at the same point

Hey community,

So I have Steam, and on that Steam I have Need for Speed Shift 1 and 2. They worked fine for a little bit, but for some reason now, they continue to crash at the same place in the game.

I can start either game completely fine, go into the menus and customize my car and stuff. Both games work fine until I go into a race. In BOTH games, the game crashes upon going into any given race. It goes to the loading screen, freezes, and pulls up the "_____ has stopped working and will now close or whatever." It happens in both games in the same instances. Please help.

Turn the Anti-Aliasing off of MLAA on to anything else.

I had the exact same problem with Shift 2 and almost pulled my hair out trying to figure it out. I'm not the only one.....a lot of people have had the exact same issue and most of the time this solves it.

No....AntiAliasing is in the game's graphic options.

I set AA to off with no avail.


I read this, I thought I might just be able to undo that checkbox, but my CCC doesn't work, so guess I'm stuck.
