check your codecs as well as the quality of the format of the file.

i was able to play dvds now normally but i had to lower the hardware acceleration to disable all direct draw and direct3d. Is there any way i can play dvds without having to turn this down?

so you can play em when you turnoff direct3d? thats weird that shouldnt affect video formats...

i was also surprized, this was the 1st time I had to turn down hardware acceleration for anything. It does play btw even if D3d is on but the colors are not right but when I try to capture the images it displays normally.

I adjusted the gamma with the program that came with nvidia driver. Its more of a pixelated and color problem than a gamma problem but if it has somthing to do with i would like to know what i could do.
