help w/ motherboard combo

help I am looking at a Tyan trinity kt-7(32390)b motherboard w/ via apollo kt-133a chipset and six pci slots, one isa slot, and one agp slot w/200/266 fsb. also has a AMD Athlon 1.4ghz 266 fsb socket A cpu heat sink and fan. question is how good of a combo is this? and is approx $230 a good price.

Your combo is an average price. But I would go with the shuttle ak31 version 3.1 ($80 newegg) and an oem 1600 xp athlon ($128 newegg). Add a coolermaster heatsink (about $11) and a stick of ddram (128 samsung $15) and you've got a faster combo for about the same price. The shuttle has the faster kt266a chipset, and I've had mine about 1 month with no major problems.
