Plz help with Abit mobo & celeron 300A

My friend is not getting any signal for the monitor, motherboard is abit BE6 or BH6, dont know which one.

The computer sound as though its starting as normal, fans power up, it beeps as usual, harddrive is making its harddrivey sounds. We tried with a PCI VGA card also, still no signal...

My suspects: PCI bus? RAM? dont think it would start as normal w/out RAM though...

I´m clueless

Monitor
Harddrive

Update:

After changing motherboard and CPU all is fine. Any idea if I should blame the mobo or the celery? Mobo is Abit BH6 BTW. Could this be caused by a too old battery?

I had this exact system for years (though pushed to 450MHz ) Never had a problem.
