No real gameplay in Skyrim

Skyrim starts up, start new game then Raldof has little 2 sentence story.
Then the move your mouse around comes up and thats it.
Then everyone just sits and nothing else happens. Been sitting for the past 6 hours, no character selection, nothing.
The game sometimes just randomly crashes. Plus the NPC's right in the beginning of the game are a shade of purple but the environment looks fine.

Running on Ultra High Graphics according to default settings

Intel Core i3 2120 @ 3.30 GHz
8 GB RAM
Nvidia Ge Force 550 GTX Ti
Windows 7 64 bit

So i doubt its my PC

Where did you get that game? It sounds like it's terribly bugged.

You might also need to try and update drivers, sweep your drives for viruses. You could also look at the others' posts dealing with image corruption in Skyrim and see if anything works for yourself.
