Down and right arrow keys not working

I have noticed that my down and right arrow keys don't work. My Num Lock or Scrol lock is not on. I use DELL Inspiron E1705 Laptop with Windows 7 Home premium. Thanks.

It could be a hardware fault. Try to get hold of an external keyboard and see if you get the same problem.

Thanks. I don't have a USB Keyboard. I'll try and borrow one from some one.

Try pressing F7 or the Function Key.

Thanks, But none of the solutions worked. I think it's a hardware problem.

Just to make certain you might want to hit the F1 or Del button during startup to get in to the BIOS and see if your arrow keys work in there. If not, then it definitely would be the keyboard. I would search on ebay with "<model number> keyboard" and see what turns up, unless your laptop is under warranty. Also, are the buttons turned up at all, or hard to press down? Any physical issues there?

Thanks Brandoncatz, I don't know why I couldn't I think of it before. But sad it is a hardware problem those keys don't work in bios as well. Thanks for clearing the air.
