Dirt 3 steam edition will not launch

i click the icon, it says its loading the game then nothing. anybody know why?

I bought DUKE NUKEM and it needed steam to run it, the login-install had to happen every time I wanted to playDuke and it took forever what with Updates an Installs
- I had already installed it but steam would do it again -
Connection Time Outs , did I mention time outs and Updates and reinstalls.
So DUKE is not a good game I just stoped playing it.

Now I just bought COD modern warfare 2 and after two days Ive downloaded 4% of something and the CONNECTION TIMED OUT.

Are you beginning to see a pattern here.

STEAM does NOT WORK.
STEAM is a load of hot air.

There is no cure check around (I have).

o come on, its updating something in the game file, nothing complicated. i lost track of this thread or wouldhave closed it already. a skyrim file was having the same problem on forums and i just updated the samething they said to. ill update exactly what when im actually on my pc,not gonna boot up just for this. look up skyrim keeps restarting and i belive you will probly find it in these forums, and follow the instructions in gearbox or infinity ward files instead of bethesda, which the article is about. its like game cashe or configuration something like that
