BF3 update won't allow game to launch

Just logged into Origin and went to launch BF3 , and now the browser fails to launch and I can't play the game.

Any one else having this problem or know of a fix?

I'm having issues as well. I get a prompt to install the game (even though it's sitting on my hard drive...). Hopefully dice and ea will get their *** together someday.

Same problem here, log into battlelog tells me i need to update i click to update and it send me to origin to purchase the game??? It also pops up a dialog saying game isn't installed. Yet it shows up in origin as one of my games.....this is really frustrating me!

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it (with the dvd). It was a bit of a hassle to get it to use the disk instead of trying to download but it worked fine and now it is running great. I played for a few hours today and had 0 in game problems. I even turned my stock OC back on which previously caused crashed every game or two.

BF3 is infuriating (as far as the support and stability goes) but mine is actually running perfectly for once.

Thank you, that's what tech support was telling me to do...I really didn't want to do that...was hoping for an offline patch that I could apply...nevertheless I will to install and will post my results.

I've had the same issues, i reinstalled it and it still wont load any map, i dont know what to do now- maybe just swear off EA games

They just released a patch (yesterday?). Try downloading that and going from there.

Warning: it's a big one (3.9 GB)

I just right clicked the game in the origin client menu to "Repair Install" and that fixed the issue of not installing the patch right away.
