Ok,

I'm in your normal Dilbert Office with the common Windows NT based DCHP
Cat-5 office.

I'd like to allow WIFI from my office to a few laptops.

I have a retired linksys W54G and W11S4 I brought from home I'd like to
use.

Is there any way I can get the Wireless access to hand out new DHCP
assigned addresses that come from the main office DHCP server?

If not is there any IP addresses it can hand out safely behind
192.168.*.*?

If this won't work is there a Box I can buy that will?

I'm assuming you have authority to do this - installing an unauthorised WAP
is typically considered gross misconduct these days. Just an FYI.

Ensure any builtin DHCP server the AP may have is disabled, plug it into
your LAN, and do whatever your IT security people normally do on your
company to allow new machines to connect. For instance many companies lock
MACs to IPs on the DHCP server, disallow unknown MACs, etc.

Anything not used by your company lan.
