Game freezing every two seconds

Hi,when i'm playing some games like Limbo or Skyrim,computer freezes until I press any key.It's really annoying.
My computer:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ @ 2.51 GHz
3,00 GB DDR2
Asus M2N-SLI
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO (512 MB)
Windows XP Pro

Recently i had problems with blue screen but I installed new drivers and now i don't have problems with BSOD.
Some games i can play without problems like WoW...

Possible,but for LIMBO?I don't think i have to have awesome graphic card for that game

When did this start happing? The latest driver has bugs in it. Are you playing Skyrim first to freeze then do you go to Limbo? Do you check your temps on your gpu? It really sounds like a heat problem and Skyrim will heat your gpu and cpu up bad because of the size of the gpu and the resources shyrim needs to run. Do you run on low settings when playing Wow? If so that would explain why you can play. Also does your case have a good air flow through it plus cooling fans? Is all the dust bunneys gone? I am just trying to help I am not trying to be a smart ass. These are questions you ask your self to help trouble shoot. please Repost if you haven't fix it by then. Good luck
