AMD recommended motherboard

I noticed that Tom recommended Soyo SY-K7v (KT266a) has not been recommended by AMD as a motherboard for any AMD processor. Is this significant? Has anybody had problems using the built in lan card for access to cable interenet service.

AMD does not officially "recommend" any motherboards, but rather certifies compliance with AMD standards and requirements. As far as I know, this motherboard has not been examined by AMD for compliance testing and certification.
