When running check disk after reboot it runs successfully but about ten
seconds after it completes it automatically reboots before the report can be
read. In my event logs I get a report of a bad block, thats why it is being
run. Is there any reason why it reboots so quickly or am I missing a step in
the process somewhere?

How to view the Chkdsk Log Entry:-
You will find the chkdsk log entry in the Application log of Event Viewer.
To access the Event Viewer
.. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools> Event Viewer > Application.
.. Look for the Event from the source "WinLogon".
