I have a Compaq 5204, went to format the drive and it would not let me do
both partitions, so i hooked the drive up to my other computer and
formated the second partition. now i cant get the computer to boot from
cd, trying to install windows xp on the machine. Any ideas of how to get
the computer to read the cd?

In windows XP i tried to create a boot disk, however this disk will not
help me find the cd rom in the compaq.
