XP Pro Slow Start

When i Turn on the computer, it works fine tell the windowx Xp Logo and the
bar loading under it. After that the screen goes black and the computer
hardrive status light goes off and it looks like nothing is going on. After
about 1 minute of waiting the screen goes to the user name login and the
computer works normal.

Is there anyone that know what happens why it takes so long to start and why
it goes black and the harddrive looks liek it's not loading anything for
about a minute.

I don't wana restore the computer but if there is no answer that may be the
only way.

Your first step is to be 100% sure that your computer is 100% free of
viruses and spyware. Either one will do a number to startup.
