I think they have a design agreement and a distribution agreement but may be manufactured at different plants. If they are manufature on the same line it would explain the high defect rate.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

I think it’s more than a simple agreement. Couple of weeks ago, at PCCHIPS official forum we were discussing about poor PCCHIPS mobo quality in comparison with ECS. And the moderator, Peter Missel, said “There is no quality difference between ECS and PC-Chips current (!) products - it's the same products coming from the same design teams and production lines” <A HREF="http:// www.stud.fernuni-hagen.de/q3998142/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001003.html" target="_new">http:// www.stud.fernuni-hagen.de/q3998142/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001003.html</A>
That would explain some questions in this forum about ECS high production defects rate, and also is stopping me to recommend K7S5A for processors faster than 1 GHz.
