A WinXP driver for CMedia 8738

My new Chaintech CT-7VJDA motherboard, has an onboard sound chip. A CMedia 8738. The install disk that came with the motherboard does not seem to have a WinXP driver on it.

I tried the win2000 driver but this caused XP to crash on startup and I had to disable it from Safe Mode to get the machine going.

Where can I get a WinXP driver for the CMedia 8738 chipset?

Run the Windows Update utility. It should automatically come up in the "Windows XP" section for download.
