(Epox 8KHA+) + (Duron 700) + (PC2100 DDR) ???

Hi all,

I have been planning on setting up a new computer based on this specs..

AMD Duron 700 CPU
Epox EP-8KHA+ board
256mb PC2100 DDR

My question is, will this setup be fine? I mean, I am quite puzzled about how will the PC2100 or PC266 DDR RAM perform if the Duron CPU that I will be using only runs at 200Mhz FSB. I am just confused. I hope you could help me if this 2 things are related or not.

i really really really suggest you shell out a couple more bucks and get an Athlon 'C' of some variety 1.0, or 1.2. they are very cheap, now that the XP is out, and will greatly outperform the duron AND properly utilise the PC2100 ddr ram.

Excuse me for a moment. I need to drive my ergonomic wheely chair over a sheet of bubble wrap!
