Just got a new Sony Vaio laptop with XP Home. It came with a JumpDrive 128MG
by Lexar. The Sony recognizes it just fine but my desktop 1-year old Dell
Dimension 4600C with XP Home refuses to recognize the JumpDrive and cannot
locate any drivers to install. Lexar has, of course, not been very helpful
and forget dell.

Any thoughts on why it would be recognized on one XP Home but not on the
other? And, more importantly, how do I get both to recognize the JumpDrive
so that I can transfer data?

Hi,

I have seen this happen on a Dell system at work. What I did was use
different USB connection on the system and it worked. It's worth a
try.
