i just purchased this mobo and an amd 1600xp processor with 256 mg ddr 2100 ram.
i use win xp as my operating system.
whenever i reboot,it always says new hardware found," via bus master ide drivers"but whenever i try to load from the mb cd it says no software found.not sure if this really causes a prob or not.really havent noticed anything.but i don't like pop ups saying my system isn't right...
secondly my bios doesnt seem to acknowledge the cpu speed.i'm using the amd athalon xp1600.
i'll set it to the 1400mhz setting,then when i reboot the bios comes up automatically and says that i have the wrong cpu speed set and then reverts me to 1050 instead of 14oo.
just a few little qirks that have been bothering me and was wondering if anyone else has had any experiences with this combo. thx
