The HP ZV6000 and Compaq R4000 laptop's processors are 939-pin Desktop-parts, including the 3000+ and 3200+ Sempron models, and consequently, they all have a 128-bit Memory-controller; the memory in these systems should operate as dual-channel. After several benchmarks performed by members of http://zv6000forums.com/ it was discovered that the memory in these laptops in fact runs in single-channel mode. HP has shown a complete disregard for this issue and their customers who have contacted them with it. These laptops perform well under their advertised specs doing anything that's memory intensive; I myself, and from what I've read many others, WOULD NOT PURCHASE ONE OF THESE LAPTOPS AGAIN and would return them if given the chance!
