In my bios(phoenix tech) settings, there is no "chipset config" or anything of the sort. its all basic options. i need to enable 4x agp for my geforce card and its only running at 2x. i found this out by running sandrasoft utility. i know my board is capable of 4x, but my damn bios isnt letting me in. there has to be a way to get to the chipset config. please help me out, ive been trying to figure this out for a couple weeks now and have gotten nowhere. could this be because i have an hp and they have some "idiot" proof bios? please, any help would be appreciated.

hp pavilion 1.1ghz athlon
asus a7v via KT133 based(i have latest 4in1's and agp drivers)
256SDRAM
32meg geforce 2 gts

thanks.

It is quite probable that you would need a bios upgrade.
Phoenix bioses are here: <A HREF="http://www.unicore.com/biosupgrades/upgradenow.cfm" target="_new">http://www.unicore.com/biosupgrades/upgradenow.cfm</A>
If you follow instructions closely the bios upgrade will normally go ok. Make sure you follow all instructions.
If you have more questions do post back.

Thanks, Dan for replying. Do they send a disk for me to flash upgrade or something?
