I use WIN XP Home. Every time I boot after POST WIN XP asks if I want to restore my active desktop and does not show my customary wallpaper. I have not made any changes to my system configuration and this started spontaneously. What causes this and how can I restore my Windows wallpaper and NOT be prompted by Windows to restore to my active desktop? Thank you.

Odd. Something is probably crashing on shutdown which is causing it. Try doing a system restore.. You should also scan for spyware.
