Hi,guys.
My pc spec is:
INtel e4600
Nvidia gts 450
Ram 2 ddr2(upgrade to 4gb,but next 2 months only)
Samsung j105 500gb sata2
Power supply 500watt silverstone

Well,my question is battlefield 3 is also ram hungry system.
I know windows 7 64 bit will have more caching performance as it load a lot data into memory rather than slower hard disk.
But when it comes to gaming(game using large ram),does 64 will cause cpu to handle the ram much faster than 32 bit.

I have no problem switching from 32 to 64 or vice versa.
So,pls do tell will windows 64 will have pure processing power of cpu or performance on handling larger ram(within 2gb)
will increase????

Pls note that i only use battlefield 3 as example.
I don't do a lot of multitasking,video processing.
Only gaming, watching videos, and normal web surfing.

More about : windows bit bf3

It will be faster/smoother over all, because W7x64bit will be able to allocate more RAM than x32 and also make sure that your page file is enabled no matter how much RAM do u have!

In your case use 5GB of page file -- set it to 2GB min-5GB max.

Well, here's the thing i still don't understand, simply will it increase gaming fps if i use 64 or 32 on latest game(64 bit games like bf3,and many more).

On my system(having 2gb ram),no matter with 32-bit or 64-bit,bf 3 will use all the ram.(ram will be pushed to max amount,2gb full).

so,question is like this:
when i use 32-bit,idle ram was 500(or less),so 1.5 gb will used by bf3.
Under 64 bit,on idle(even optimsed, some services disabled,no even an antivirus and no background prog AT ALL,)it is eating 580mb,600mb after using mozila. So,less ram left for bf3.
So,won't the game run faster on 32 bit windows.

Lastly, let assume on both windows,bf 3 eats 1.5(all eaten).so,for my weak cpu,1.5gb is large amount of ram and it is of game. So,will it process(or run the game) faster if i use 64-bit,basically because it transfer ram like a dual-way highway, not single-way road.
This is why i want to know if the game will run faster under 64 bit or 32 bit(assume game eats same amount of ram on both system).

Notes:both edition of windows are winds. 7 ultimate and i say bf just as an example to show what kind of games i play.

Appreciation:thanks a lot, rally, for replyinh,so techies around the world, pls kindly give me an explanation or answer,64 bit or 32????
