New Dragon + install and the Blue Screen of Death

I just upgraded my PII 350 (and about time too!) to a Dragon Plus! mother, with an AMD1700, with 512 meg DDR.

The system boots fine, but everytime it tries to load WinXP, I get the BSOD 'Stop' screen. No particular error, only stopping to prevent damage. Recommends pulling new drives, controllers, check connections etc. VERY frustrating.

The only board currently installed is AGP video.
I have reduced to a single drive to reduce confusion
I have Win98 installed as a dual boot on the drive and it loads fine.

What the heck do I do?

Defintly sounds like an XP problem. I have win me and everything works fine. If you just got XP you should be able to get help from microsoft.

Doesn't that board have the HPT RAID controller? I hear XP has a problem there.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
