Service Control Manager

My Thinkpad laptop computer suddenly crashes and I have problems when I am
booting up it shuts down and then I have to unpug remove the battery and
power cord before I can get it to power up again .I checked the Advance
Error Option Under Help and Support and noticed the following errors :

Monday, February 14, 2005 DCOM DCOM got error "%1084" attempting to start
the service EventSystem with arguments "" in order to run the server:
{1BE1F766-5536-11D1-B 726-00C04FB926AF}
Monday, February 14, 2005 DCOM DCOM got error "%1084" attempting to start
the service netman with arguments "" in order to run the server:
{BA126AE5-2166-11D1-B 1D0-00805FC1270E}
Monday, February 14, 2005 Service Control Manager The DHCP Client service
depends on the NetBios over Tcpip service which failed to start because of
the following error: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
Monday, February 14, 2005 Service Control Manager The DNS Client service
depends on the TCP/IP Protocol Driver service which failed to start because
of the following error: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
Monday, February 14, 2005 Service Control Manager The TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
service depends on the AFD Networking Support Environment service which
failed to start because of the following error: A device attached to the
system is not functioning.
Monday, February 14, 2005 Service Control Manager The IPSEC Services service
depends on the IPSEC driver service which failed to start because of the
following error: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
Monday, February 14, 2005 Service Control Manager The following boot-start
or system-start driver(s) failed to load: AFD Avg7Core Avg7RsW Avg7 RsXP
CSMBATT Fips IBMTPCHK IPSec MRxSmb nbmkmd NetBIO S NetBT P3 RasAcd Rdbss T

Could you please tell me what I should do to rectify this problem . I
recently reinstalled Windows XP using my recovery CD hoping that the problem
would get resolved.

uninstall the network card & reinstall it. otherwise (if it's not an
external card) then load the ibm drivers for the network card again.
