My hardware is: XP333-R, Athlon 1600+,2x Ocz 256MB 2700 DDR, 2x Maxtor 40gig ATA133 in a raid 0 array.

My problem is that i cant get windows xp to run at the processor default which is 1400MHZ,It either gives me a blue screen or tell me "windows could not run because the following file is missing or corrupt c:\windows/system32/config/system"

It only runs with no problems when I set the motherboard defaults which are 1050mhz and 100fsb.

I dont have idea what that could be so, any sugestions will be apreciated!

:frown: I was happy till she crossed my sight -----> XP333/R :frown: !

generally this kind of pb is because your vCore is to low
or your FSB to high & that give crash & blue screen

how many did you set vCore, multiplier & FSB ?
or did you use the bios autosetup ?
is the xp cpu correctly recognize by your mb ?
(some mb need to flash their bios for)

sorry i didnt answer u last night , the problem is that the motherboard gets the cpu as 1250+ which is 1050mhz and 100fsb, i tryed setting the vcore ,fsb, multiplier manually and it didnt even boot up! so i think it may be incompatibility of the memory, or the raid array is generating a problem IN THE LOADING OF XP!
i DONT KNOW ANYTHING THAT U THINK IT CAN BE , LET ME KNOW PLEASE

i have a raid & loading xp pro, no pb

you can't boot with auto bios values ?

if it's right there is a pb which come before OS Load

what are the values you try ?

in first have you try the "standard" values for 1600+/PC2100
because of your "non standard" PC2700 DRR

& i think you have 2 sticks of mem (2x256Mo)
unplug all stick & reinsert 1 on first dimm slot
if don't work unplug it & insert the other stick & retry
because maybe you have 1 stick out (but rarely both in same time)

it's also possible that your bios don't recognize well your PC2700 DDR & cause pb
