Home office 2007 on windows 7 with 2010 starter

Hello,
I installed my Student version of Home Office 2007 on my new Windows 7.0 computer. There is a 2010 starter of Home Office on the computer already. Do I need to uninstall the starter 2010 so I won't have issues when working with files?

  1. The Office 2010 is probably a time limited trial version, I would uninstall it.
    Removal instructions here> http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/word-help/remove-or-uninstall-office-2010-trial-HA101972584.aspx
  2. It does not appear to be a trial version, just a limited edition version that came with the computer.
  3. It's your choice if it's not creating a problem you can leave it. Have you tried the 2010 version, if it's a trial version it should say when you use it. If it is a full version you will have time to get used to the new one with old one to fall back on if you get stuck.
  4. Hi dkrjwright - Computers that come with Windows 7, now includes Office 2010 Starter, as a replacement to Microsoft Works - http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en/products/office/pages/office_2010_starter.aspx

You will be able to run Office 2007 beside it with no problem.
