Its a dumb email scam that is far too sucessfull at getting dumb greedy people to had over money in order tat they get a cut of millions.
Needless to say, the millions dont exist.

The best scam I ever read about was 100% legal and the guy got away with it.
A guy in the UK wrote to thousands of people offering to show them a way to reduce their phone bills to zero, all they had to do was buy a manual for around £20. He got a huge response and trousered around £1.5 million.
The manual advised people to contact British Telecom and have their telephone disconnected. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. And entirely legal.
