Asus P4T-E

I am considering to purchase the Asus P4T-E and P4-1.7 MHz. There are 2 versions to this mobo, one with audio and one without.
Is the on-board audio any good?

It's good but your better off getting a sound card. Onboard sound will slow your system a little.

Get the one without audio, that AC97 sucks, and get a good sound card.

the audio isn't bad, but it isn't good. i have the P4T-E without the audio and i love it. friend as the version with the audio, but went with an Audigy for the superior sound. best motherboard i've ever owned.

where oh where have all the intel's gone?
