My brother just ordered this combo. He's not reallya hardware guy, so I am sure he will call me to hook it all up when it arrives. Are there any known issues with the A7M266 and XP processor combo?

I have the A7M266. With the latest BIOS update, any of the XP series will work fine. Even if you do not have the update, it will boot. It will just not utilize SSE until you get the latest BIOS.
