Hi!
I have a small problem i was hoping someone out there may have dealt with already. I have 2 computers. One is connected to the internet, the other is using the first as a gateway through a LAN. Both machines are on Win2k. All regular internet traffic works great, however i'm having a problem with FTP on the LAN machine (Comp#2). Regardless of the client, when the connection reaches the point of the LIST command, the session "freezes". Meaning, i cant see a directory listing, and can't cancel the command. This also isn't necessarily a windows problem. I have also tried this with a linux box forwarding the packets (using MASQ) with the same result. I'd appreaciate any ideas to point me in the right direction! Thanks!!

Zazoo.

Disable PASV mode and it will work fine. Note: Your client probably issued the PASV mode command before it requested the LIST. It will be listed in the FTP client as PASV or Passive Mode.

yeah but if you disable pasv, not all ftp clients can conenct to it, neither can i.e.
