P4 ready power supplies

I have a new P4 board I bought on sale from an order that was never picked up. I wanna build my friend a nice celeron 2.2 gig system. But the power supply i have which fits this particular case doesn't have that 12 volt connector. Nor does the board have that powersupply hookup like ASUS (Thank God for Asus!!) So can I go inside the power supply and solder or bug onto the 12 volt and ground to attach that 12 aux connector? Thanks Tom.

You could. Or you could look for a standard 4-pin to ATX12v adapter.
