This thread is for people who are going to buy a new PC and want to know that it will run all the current games at least on high settings.
The new records are from the system recommended requirements.

New CPU record: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core . Raising record game: Watch Dogs

New RAM record: 8GB. Raising record game: Blacklight Retribution

New GPU record: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290. Raising record game:

New GPU VRAM record: 4GB. Raising record game: call of duty: ghosts

New HDD space record: 60GB. Raising record game: The Elder Scrolls Online

I will try to update as necessary.

I don't think those system requirements were "requirements", more I think hardware they have tested the game on and they know work.

I do not know what the game could possibly load into ram that would require 16 gigs LOL.

they are the recommended requirements not the minimum... the extra ram is used like a ssd where textures and the likes are stored for fast access minimizing load times and disk access.

This thread is for people who want to buy a new PC that will play ALL games at ultra settings, so I try to update as necessary when new records are made.
A normal search in google to find the latest highest requirements yielded disappointing results.
I personally doubt that this game will actually max out 12 CPU threads.

In the first requirements release it was 8GB, then it was updated to 4GB.

Well it has been updated, but is was one of the first games if not the first itself that recommended 8GB of RAM, hence the "New RAM record". Today there are other games that recommend 8GB of RAM but they are certainly NOT the first.
