I am new to the MMO type games. I have no idea what this game does that i would have any interested in. I have a few questions about it.

Can you go around to different planets and control them.

Do you just go around fighting different things to level up.

Is there a story line to it or just a person going around doing different things.

Sorry for these dumb question's i just thought the game might be interesting and i have no idea what the game is.

All i have played are FPS like halo and COD and 3rd person gears. I have no clue about any other games.

I see review's for it but whats different between this and WOW as far as functionality. please let me know.

Not to bum you out, but that's a really big question that would be best answered by visiting the website. But if you're using WoW as a reference point, then there's this:

It's very much more story-driven, in the same vein as other Bioware titles like Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins. TONS of voice-acting dialog and you make choices during gameplay that determines both the direction your questing goes and your reputation as either Light or Dark.

The playable content is supposedly already much larger than WoW even at launch.

The graphics are a little more realistic and somewhat less cartoony than WoW. But not much.

Class dynamics are similar to WoW, but shake things up a bit with a few different mechanics.

The crafting and profession system looks pretty robust.

You build a "team" of companions that follow you around and can perform certain tasks and quests for you.

You get your own space ship and there is space combat, but I haven't gotten there yet, so I don't know much about it. Supposedly it's not as awesome as it sounds, but not bad either.

There's probably more differences, but I don't know them yet. I played WoW for over 5 years and I've played SWTOR since the late beta weekends. I got tired of WoW and am very excited about this. I've played one flashpoint (4-man dungeon, or instance) and while it took quite a bit of time, the story-value was 10 ten times better than anything in WoW.
