I posted here a few weeks ago about my trials with my Chenbro XPider case. The short story was mine didn't come with an HDD cage making it impossible to set up the RAID array I wanted, and I couldn't find anybody who would sell me one.
Well, after posting here I learned that Chenbro's default configuration was with the cage, but many vendor's were ordering without them to cut costs. Dave Stellmack contacted Chenbro for me and they shipped me an HDD cage!
I wanted to say thanks to Tom's Hardware and thanks to Chenbro.
I have a brand-new Chenbro Xpider, and am amazed at the level of craftsmanship. Today I am going to be building my system, and I can tell just be examining the case that it is going to be a breeze. Stylish, easy-to-operate pins hold all of your pci & agp cards in place, so no more need to screw them in. There are filters in the fan vents on the faceplate, so no need to worry about sucking in a lot of dust via the air intake. I installed my CPU fan's buss controller into on of the original bezels, and I have already stealthed on of my drives using another - it is beautiful.
Women--can't live with them, can't have heterosexual same-species intercourse without them.
I've had the same problem. I recently bought the xpider case, and am VERY pleased with it. You can't get a better case for the price. Chenbro really did their homework when designing it. Anyway, I also thought it came with the HD cage and was planning on using it for a RAID. It didn't come with one and after looking around and couldn't find anyone that carried it. I sent an email to Chenbro at the only address I could find (info@chenbro.com.tw) but it was returned to me. I resent the mail and got it right back again (error message said "file not found" whatever that means. info@chenbro doesn't exist, maybe?). I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with getting one of these HD cages as well.
