I know this is probably more complicated than I think, but I wanted to know if my 300W power supply would be able to handle the additional load of a Radeon 9800 PRO. Currently, I have running off of it (besides the mobo, 800MHZ FSB)

Plextor Premium
Sony DVD Drive
Plextor 708A
West. Digital Harddrive 120.
Standard 3.5 floppy
My CPU is a 3.06
USB ports
Case fans (3?)

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....

THANKS!

I'd wager that your system is already stressing the limits of 300W. Shell out the 36 bucks for a 400W Fortron FSP Power Supply over on NewEgg. It'll output over 450W at peak.

If its a high quality brand name PSU then it might be ok.
If it isnt, dont bother. Get a new quality one.

I say this time and time again...
You pay alot of money for expensive quality computer parts. Why risk them with a average to crap power supply?

Antec Enermax or Fortron i recommend.
