Believe it was a DOS game, or very early Windows. Probably originally downloaded as a demo from AOL games.
You were in a space fighter of some kind, with a view of the cockpit. Not side-scrolling, 3D environment like TIE Fighter. There were a handful of missions that could play through, but I can't remember all the details. The things that I do remember is that the basic laser your fighter was equipped with looked like two flat yellow strips, and that it could be upgraded to three blue balls that were oriented as if they were the points of a triangle.
Also, I believe that one of the missions was a race through gate checkpoints.
Anybody remember the name of that game?
