Interesting deal with one month old 6100. Not only did the volume not work
correctly but this morning when I unplugged my phone the battery was still
dead. The phone said fully charged but the battery was almost dead. I tried
a 12v charger instead got the same results. The phone after being plugged in
for 3-5 seconds went to indicating fully charged. I of course assumed the
battery was bad and went to our local Verizon kiosk in the mall. The tech
there tried a new battery but got the same results and changed out the phone
and everything is working the way it is supposed to.

I was experiencing the infamous volume bug and a few other problems. A
software upgrade to T61VZV02 fixed all. The upgrade is not available
through *228 and tech support at *611 did not have knowledge of it as of
1/3. Great phone and network, another satisfied Verizon customer for some
time now.
