After entering the logon information, "Applying Computer settings" takes
about about 2 minutes to finally see the desktop. The server is Windows 2003
and clients are XP with service pack 2. Any suggestions on how to expedite
(sp) the log on process will be appreciated.

Is the computer part of a domain ?
It sounds like group policy settings are getting applied and it is taking a
long time to do this.
