Ok in case you have been reading my other post on power supply this is just an extension of it.
I had a generic 550 and "found" an enermax 350. Believe it or not but the enermax actually makes my system run better, and quieter for that matter. just go's to show you, buy cheap get cheap.
I do have a question though. Is there anyway to know if i am stressing this enermax 350 watt PS to much? breaking stuff usually isn't a good think when its my own.
In what way does this PSU make your system runs better? This doesn't make any sense.
I don't know your system, so I can't answer if you stress the PSU too much. But hey if it runs 'better' you probably don't.
For your information the need for massive power supplies is IMO greatly exadurated. I have a Pentium 4 2.26 GHz, GForce 3 graphics card, Soundblaster 5.1 live sound card, 2 HD in RAID, 2 CD/DVD drives. I have measured the power consumption of this setup and have never exceeded 200 W. Not even when running CPU and graphics demanding games. This is measured on the mains. So considering the efficiency of the PSU the actual power consumpiton of the PC is probably less than 180W.
So who needs more than a 350W PSU?

I used the term "better" in the sense that my voltages are down significantly. I don't know about actually performance increase but am amazed that a brand name 350 watt PS does a better job then an generic 550.
