Hello,

I was thinking about buying a new PC case, but I don't know what I should get and was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations. Below is a list of things I want to fit into it. There is also a list of features I would like to have.

1. SOYO Dragon Ultra KT333 motherboard which is only mention for wiring purposes in regards to how long the wites of the case need to be to reach the pins on the motherboard for the power button, etc.
2. DVD writer.
3. CD burner.
4. Floppy drive.
5. 4 hard drives (Western Digitals 2x80 Gb, 250 Gb and 20 Gb. All 7200 RPM. 1 80 and the 20 have 2Mb cache.
6. Graphics card (GeForce 4 Ti4200 4x 128Mb RAM.)
7. Sound card.
8. Firewire card.

I only went into specifics on some of the components to give you an idea of how hot all these components would run in the wrong case. My CPU temp. usually runs at 48 Celcius and my case at 38C with one 80mm fan in front(intake), one on the side(intake), and one in back(exhaust). In addition, my I have a large copper heatsink with an aluminum core and a 7200RPM fan made by Coolermaster. The PS is an Enermax 430 Watt with an intact fan on the bottom and an exhaust fan in back. I also have been using Artic Silver thermal paste. It shouldn't be running that hot.

I really don't care how fancy the case looks, but I would really like these features.
1. One that is a little more roomier than my Generic ATX mid tower.
2. One that isn't too flimsy, but doesn't way a ton.
3. One that has plenty of fan options like one in front, one on the side, and two in back.
4. Removable hard drive cages.
5. Removable motherboard tray.
6. One where I won't have to buy any extenders to take care of wiring the front buttons to the motherboard.
7. I already have an Enermax 430 Watt PS, and was wondering if I should get a better one or a case that includes a better one.

My main goal is a case with a little more room that runs cooler and is a little easier to work with than my generic one.

Any advice and links would be greatly appreciated as I'm not an expert on cases.

Thanks

Krycek

My CPU was idling at 60 degrees.

I bought an Antec P160 and an Antec true power 550. Now my CPU is idling at 36.

Very happy.

I'm very happy with my thermaltake xaser 3 case. It is rather large but it comes with 7 adjustable fans temp probe etc. Has removable HD space but doesnt have a removable motherboard tray?

Works for me and isnt too loud

I have good experience with both Lian Li and Cooler Master cases. Both are very well designed and built.
