Which is the best software for recording fps games?

I mostly play mw2 and mw3. I want to record my game video to show to my friends. I tried fraps but it recorded 1 min video of 4.97gb and my game also lagged very much. I play at resolution 1600*1200. While recording with fraps my fps decreased from 280 to 34-39. So is there any software which don't effect my fps and also records in small size and great quality

Ati 6770 1gb ddr5

FRAPS - customize the settings. Under video capture settings choose half size.
