I just bought a Dell XPS Gen2 Laptop and will be getting it in a few days. My question is can I use an external keyboard? I plan to use this as a desktop replacement and will be useing an external moniter and mouse. And if i can't use it how do you guys play games useing an external Moniter and laptop keyboard?

Thanks

You can just plug in the USB keyboard, close the lid and enjoy the ride. It might screw up laptops key mapping in the OS so badly that you'll end up reinstalling windows, but that happens not too often.

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

how does the USB keyboard interfer with the laptop keyboard?
cause I was planning on doing the samething, since I'm getting an extra monitor soon.

It takes the place of it, works without a hitch, imo.

You can have as many mice and keyboards as you want plugged in. Windows will accept inputs from any of them.
Just make sure you have "do nothing" chosen in the power options for what to do when the lid is closed.
