Holy Sharkoly batman I figured it out!, found the supreme commander.exe buried in the steam folders and right clicked, clicked on properties, and set compatibility mode to winXP service pack 3, also checked the run as admin just in case, I guess it couldn't handle win7. Thanks...me..you're welcome me.
actually, i found the problem. i am running vista, and user account controls was turned on. my father, who works on networks, suggested turning it off. BINGO! vista thought the program was installing a virus, and kept terminating the program. now it is running fine!
update everyone. i recently got a bigger hard drive. when i moved my steam folder, every game worked fine except for, wait for it, supreme commander. it says "this game is not avaliable right now, please try again later" anyone know how i can fix it? (mabye if i uninstall it from the other hard drive?)
