Supreme commander steam issue

hello everyone!
i recently got supreme commander from steam on its holiday sale (gold pack for 10 bucks :) however, when i start the program, it immediately says that the program has stopped working (this is windows vista saying this) i have no idea what is wrong. can anyone help? this is the error code :

EXACT Same problem, verify game cache did nothing, even deleted and downloaded all over again...aaaaarrgg!

Holy Sharkoly batman I figured it out!, found the supreme commander.exe buried in the steam folders and right clicked, clicked on properties, and set compatibility mode to winXP service pack 3, also checked the run as admin just in case, I guess it couldn't handle win7. Thanks...me..you're welcome me. :D

actually, i found the problem. i am running vista, and user account controls was turned on. my father, who works on networks, suggested turning it off. BINGO! vista thought the program was installing a virus, and kept terminating the program. now it is running fine!

update everyone. i recently got a bigger hard drive. when i moved my steam folder, every game worked fine except for, wait for it, supreme commander. it says "this game is not avaliable right now, please try again later" anyone know how i can fix it? (mabye if i uninstall it from the other hard drive?)
