I just replaced my 300W Enlight power supply with a 420W Enlight. The whole computer is now much hotter than before. The top of the case, directly above the motherboard is warm to the touch. It seems like the drives are hotter than before also, but I never really made a point of feeling them for heat before.

If it's warm to the touch on the outside, could it be hot enough to damage components inside?

The new supply probably has a "quiet" fan. Those don't flow as much air. I'd normally tell you to add another exhaust fan, but make sure you have an adequate intake fan first.
