We're setting up like 100 laptops, all user specific with Lotus Notes [-peep-].
I hate Notes, or at least hate it because my Domino people don't know what the hell they're doing.
I need to know if Domino is able to take a specific user and create Local Replicas on it's own, instead of having the user choose a database in Notes and select to create a local replica.
They're pulling down 9 databases, 4 of them will have filters applied to limit data within them based on their Rep ID.
Right now, we set up Notes, go through, delete locations, create locations and server connections, then we have to create all these replicas each time.
Each location has it's own Domino Server. Each user is specific to 1 Domino server no matter where they go.
All data is going to be pulled off XXX server for User A, User B will pull data from ABC server.
A few will need to pull local replicas from 2 servers.
Is there a way to force this within Domino? I want to be able to set up Lotus Notes, then Domino will force down Local Replicas for User A, User B, etc. Even if it's a group type thing (I don't know enough about Lotus/Domino).
So, if a domino server had a group like Salesman with 5 people in it, all using the same database, could I have those databases forced down to a local replica without initiating that myself?
