I have a plastic storage box that I am building four computers in and I am wondering if there is a way to share one PSU between two or more pcs.

The PC's are:
PIII 1GHZ / Gigabyte cheapo MB / 512 PC133
Athlon 1.4 GHz / Asus A7V266 / 512 2100 ECC
2x Duron 800MHz / ECS k7s5a (the second is yet to be bough) / 512 pc 133(@100) & 384 PC100

Graphic cards can be either TNT2s or Rage128s except for the 1.4 Tbird that will have a R9600.

All will have 20 gig WD Caviars and one will have a larger drive that I haven't bought yet (80GB???). EDIT: This will be on the PIII.

Intel Pro NICs for all, and share one CD-ROM over the network.

I figure that two 400-500W PSU's would be plenty, but don't know if it's possible. Does anyone have some suggestions?

might be possible. why dont you just spend an extra 50 bucks and be done with it. probly wont even be that much anyway, two 500 watt psus would probly run you at least 150 bucks, while 4 300 watt fortrons will run 100. you do the math.

It's about space and ease of use, not really about the cost. I have all these in the same box so it would be easier to organize with two PSUs instead of four.

Well, there's always a way. It just depends if its easy, inexpensive, and possiblely lethal. Since you have 4 comps, you have 4 mobos. If you have 4 mobos, they all need that big fat motherboard connector, of which each PSU has one. So maybe, if you are willing to do some wiring, you could do it. But you ain't buying anything that can.
