Hi,
I'm about to upgrade my old P4 1.4 Wilamette (i850 board, 512MB RDRAM) to P4 2.8 Northwood (i865-based board, 512 MB DDRAM), and I wonder if my 300W PSU will handle my new system. Other stuff it needs to power:
- 80GB 7200rpm HDD
- Radeon 9500Pro (I don't plan to upgrade in near future)
- DVD drive
- CD-RW drive
- BT878-based TV tuner card
- SB Audigy Player
Any suggestions hom much Watts I need? Will 300W do? 350W? 550W ? BTW I'm not going to overclock...
Here will tell you about what you need. 300 seems a bit low, 450 should be plenty even for future upgrades, but power is like money... you can never have too much. I recomend Enermax PSs.
